Many retirees say that Social Security’s Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) doesn’t reflect their true cost increase year over year. For many of them, they might be right. This video reveals the cost base change that Social Security covers through COLA and compares that with the true cost base that many seniors face in their daily lives.

The Cost of Living Adjustment is based on the Consumer Price Index – W (CPI-W) which measures changes in prices paid by urban wage earners and clerical workers.
